Here’s a look at promotions, hirings, movers and newsmakers in the Memphis area business scene:
Eve Sorin has been promoted to communications manager at ABO Marketing & Communications, a Memphis-based public relations firm. She previously was a communications specialist and now will help manage projects and accounts for the agency’s small business, nonprofit and corporate clients.
Linda Ash recently joined Marx-Bensdorf as a broker associate. With nearly 20 years of management and real estate experience, including time in Florida and Memphis, she is working in residential real estate, commercial properties and new construction. Prior to returning to Memphis, she served as managing broker of an internationally branded real estate office in Sarasota, Florida. Ash earned her master’s degree in education from the University of Memphis. Ash is a member of the Memphis Area, Tennessee and National associations of Realtors.
inferno has promoted several employees within the ranks of the company. Derrick Alston, who’s been with the firm since 2012, was elevated to creative director. He’s previously served as art director, senior art director and associate creative director. Ryan Knoll joined the agency in 2007 as an account coordinator and subsequently held roles as account executive and account manager. He is now the account supervisor. Eric Taylor was promoted from account executive to senior account executive. He been affiliated with the firm since 2019.
Joseph W. Smith has been appointed co-vice chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Family Law Section’s executive committee. With more than 500 members across Tennessee, the Family Law Section brings together practitioners who share a common interest in family law updates and legislative initiatives.
William T. “Will” Gebo has been selected as the winner of the 2021-2022 Nahon, Saharovich and Trotz Law Firm Scholarship. NST has established this annual scholarship at University of Memphis School of Law, and Gebo was chosen for his exceptional scholastic record and for his essay about plaintiff personal injury work, which is the cornerstone of NST’s dedication in helping injured people.
Bruce Anthony McMullen, a shareholder with more than 25 years of litigation experience defending large corporations and businesses, recently was named managing shareholder for Baker Donelson’s Memphis offices. He’s been a shareholder since 2008.
