Monogram Foods names first COO

MEMPHIS — Gary Giles has joined Monogram Foods as chief operating officer, a newly-created position at the company.

In his new role, Mr. Giles will serve on the Monogram executive leadership team and will lead operations of various departments, including human resources, sustainability and project management. He also will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that build upon the company’s approach to producing meat snacks, bacon and frozen appetizers.

Prior to joining Monogram he was chief executive officer of Innovations in Nutrition and Wellness, a solutions partner serving the global nutrition and wellness industries. He also has worked as chairman and CEO of Lone Star Distribution, global vice president of product and research at The Juice Plus+ Co., vice president of operations and managing director of international at Garden of Life, and co-founder and president of Nutripeak.

He received a bachelor’s degree at Washington and Lee University and a master’s degree in business administration at Dartmouth College – The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Based in Memphis, Monogram Foods is a privately held manufacturer of meat snacks, corn dogs, frozen appetizers, hot dogs, sausages, precooked bacon and portable snack and sandwich assembly. The company operates nine processing plants and employs more than 3,000.
