Princess Mako of Japan Marries Kei Komuro

October 31, 2021 by Staff Reporter

This week, Princess Mako of Japan married her college sweetheart, Kei Komuro. The two wed at a Tokyo registry office, following years of controversy surrounding their engagement, based on Komuro’s humble origins. “Kei is irreplaceable for me. For us, marriage is a necessary choice to live while cherishing our hearts,” Mako said at a press conference the day of the ceremony. By marrying Komuro, she will forgo her Royal title.

We also got our first look at Claire Foy in A Very British Scandal, the upcoming BBC period drama based on the life of Margaret Campbell, Duchess of Argyll. It’ll be a very different role for Foy from that of Queen Elizabeth in The Crown, but the early photos captured our attention.

Angelina Jolie continued her winning streak on the promo tour for The Eternals. Her golden Valentino haute couture gown from fall 2018 was fit for a superhero.

In other exciting fashion news, Emily Blunt will be hosting the CFDA awards this November. The beloved French brand Jacquemus will reportedly be launching a beauty line as well. Francophiles, take note! Below, see the images of the week.
